Some of you may know me from HEALTHYSNAX. It's a blog that I've been working on since last year, and I've been overwhelmed with the support that I've received! I mainly post healthy recipes and snack ideas on there, as well as other random interesting bits and pieces - such as articles, news...and answers to questions! =)

I believe in living a healthy lifestyle because it really promotes a happy attitude and fills you with energy. I get really upset when I see people smoking, or adults feeding their children fatty and processed foods, or people eating fast food for breakfast, lunch and dinner...Sure, it's okay once in a while (not the smoking, I'm a crazy anti-smoker!!), but they're not choices that we should be making!

I'm not a very sporty person, but my passion in life is ballroom dancing. I have been dancing since I was 9, and my favourite styles are latin and ballroom! I think it's the best form of exercise because I can do it for hours without feeling like I'm putting strain on any part of my body. It's so enjoyable and I love getting new routines. Plus it works every part of your body. I love the music, the competition, the atmosphere, the costumes, the dances...

    Well, what a busy bee!

    So I’ve been so busy and tired that I hadn’t had time to even post what I’ve been eating! But as a quick summary, I’ve been very good. Haven’t been eating any bad foods - have been keeping myself nourished with plenty of good foods, especially oats and fruit and yoghurt…(sugary yoghurt at times, but I need the sugar to fuel me for the hours of dance training I do each day!)

    Yay, things are good! Looking forward to an amazing breakky of oats and yoghurt tomorrow!!!! Eeeee!!

    B: Apple-pie-style oatmeal + hibuscus and rosehip tea. 
    S: Ski Yoghurt.
    L: Apple + another Ski Yoghurt.
    S: Bel Vita Biscuits.
    D: About 7 small ricotta cakes which my grandma made and 2 cups of Yoghurt…

    Not very happy about what I had for dinner - it was late and I hate eating high sugar foods too late at night, but I got very hungry and weak!

    TOMORROW…

    I’m really looking forward tomorrow because for once, I’ll actually have an hour or so at home before I have to run off to dancing - this means that I get to have a home-cooked late lunch/early dinner! =D So excited! I’ve been eating little bits and pieces for the past few days, but tomorrow I’ll get to make a nice veggie stirfry or something! Keen =D

    Breakfast: 2 eggwhites + 1 whole egg on rye bread, hibiscus and rosehip tea. 
    …and the rest of the things I ate were just in snack form, so I won’t even bother categorising them as Lunch, Snack, Dinner etc..

    • 2 packs of Beltiva biscuits (4 per pack - SO filling, it’s ridiculous!)
    • Apple
    • Massive piece of cabbage
    • Coffee + Ovaltine
    • Yoghurt

    6.05.2012 Food Diary

    Breakfast - 2 eggwhite and 1 whole egg omelette with 1 slice of ham and tomatoes, Earl Grey tea. 
    Snacks - 2 apples, 2 Yoplait yoghurts, 1 orange, 1 cup blueberries.
    Lunch - egg/seafood/corn/cucumber/mayo salad with the family made, because someone took my piece of salmon which I was going to have with veggies =(
    Dinner - cups of tea - Today’s eating was a bit messy because of my mucked-up salmon story, plus because I’m sick (so I’m eating strange things!)

    …. update!! Ok after this I also had 2 little packs of Bel Vita fig biscuits…sooo yummy!

    Dear Diary,

    Today is going to be a good day…..

    haha I’m just kidding. No ‘dear diary’ stuff for me!

    I’m sort of thinking that this tumblr is going to shape up to be better than my healthysnax one! Why? Well I like the cleaner layout on it…it’s easier to navigate…In fact, I might change my healthysnax layout to one like this. Thing is, I don’t want it to be the same as all the other health blogs out there =( I like being different…But when it comes down to order and navigation, I think the popular layout (one which is on this very page) wins, hands down. 

    I’m still sick with a cold (which I’ve had for about a week already) and it sucks! =( I really want to get back into dancing, but I can’t until I get better. I went to dance training once a few days ago when I was still sick, but it made me even more sick. I think I just need to rest and relax until I’m fully recovered. 

    So today I’ll just be sitting around, resting, eating berries, drinking tea, watching 90210 (so hooked on that!) and then waiting for the season’s premiere of Masterchef Australia 2012! Wooo, excited!

    I’ve been taking pics of the healthy things I’ve been eating today, so the photos will be up at the end of the day! =) Stay tuned!
